About This Role
As a Senior Analyst II Business Planning for US Commercial you will play a vital role within the Commercial Accounting & Planning team. Reporting to the Associate Director you will manage a variety of gross-to-net accounts for our current and upcoming US products. Your collaboration with Product Brand teams Market Access and Reimbursement and Finance will be crucial in driving strategic business outcomes. By executing month-end close processes and preparing variance analyses you will ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting. Your contributions will support the Annual Planning and Quarterly Forecasting efforts enhancing productivity and operational efficiency. This role is instrumental in ensuring compliance with SOX requirements and BIIB accounting policies thereby adding significant value to our business operations.
What Youll Do
Execute the month-end close process including preparation of accrual entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Prepare variance analyses against prior periods and forecasted values.
Contribute to the Annual Planning and Quarterly Forecasting of revenue for the US business.
Drive process improvements in accruals analysis and reporting to enhance efficiency.
Partner with Market Access Reimbursement and Finance for contract support and economic analysis.
Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and Biogen accounting policies.
Collaborate with external auditors on walkthroughs variance analysis and detail testing.
Contribute to ad hoc projects as assigned.

Required Skills
3 years of Accounting/Finance experience and internal controls.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Solid understanding of GAAP accounting.
Ability to multitask work independently and meet deadlines.
Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or related discipline.
Preferred Skills
Experience with life sciences companies.
Oracle experience.
Public Accounting experience preferred.
CPA certification preferred.

Additional Information
The base compensation range for this role is: $88000.00-$114000.00
Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including but not limited to relevant skills & experience job location and internal equity.
Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual business unit and company performance.
