Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist
Job Summary:
The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for accurate timely and comprehensive processing of accounts payable.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Insure accuracy and completeness of accounts payable information utilizing 3-way matching.
- Data entry of accounts payable and quantity information coordinating with purchasing as needed.
- Verify proper authorization of accounts payable invoices.
- Apply current sales tax rules and ensure accuracy.
- Resolve discrepancies with vendors and company staff.
- Prepare month and year end schedules for accruals.
- Work statements each month to insure clear accounts.
- Assist the department as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Strong math and accounting skills
- 3 years of relevant experience is required.
- Must be an accounting professional with the ability to multi-task interface with multiple departments and manage high volume payables.
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
- Must be proficient in excel construction and accounting applications.
- Degree not required but accounting coursework preferred.
