About the Role:

The MaterialsPlanning& Supply Chain Intern supports operational efficiency and sustainability initiatives within Biogens manufacturing network. This roleis responsible forevaluating existing material inventories anddeterminingtheir continued relevance to current manufacturing processes. This role contributes to cross-functional efforts to improve material flowoptimizeinventory practices and propose sustainable alternatives.

WhatYoullDo:

  • Assess material content inrecycling containersanddeterminealignment with existing and future manufacturing process requirements.

  • Perform data collection and analysis to support recommendations on reuse repurposing or disposition of unused materials.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners including Materials Management Manufacturing and Quality toidentifyareas for improvement.

  • Develop and propose new material handling practices to increase operational efficiency and sustainability.

  • Summarize and present findings recommendations and process improvement concepts to internal stakeholders.

Example projects may include:

  • Enhancementofmaterial flow

  • Identifyenhancementsto Advanced Supply Chain Planning systemsafety stock andresin programs

  • Provide enhancements toall tracking tools used by Materials Planning

  • Revamp Materials Planning reports and dashboards

Who You Are:

  • Exposure tomaterial management inventory systems or supply chain principles through coursework or prior experience.

  • Proficiencyin Microsoft Excel; able to manage and analyze data sets effectively.

  • Strong analytical critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Effective organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Toparticipatein the Biogen Internshipor Co-opProgram students must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

  • At least 18 years of age prior to the scheduled start date.

  • Currentlyenrolled in an accreditedcommunitycollege collegeuniversityor skills program/apprenticeship.

Education:

Bachelorsof ScienceinSupply Chain Management Business ManagementEngineering ora relatedfield.


Job Level: Internship


Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is: $23.00-$27.00


The actual hourly wage offered will consider the candidates current academic level and degree candidacy inclusive of Associate Bachelors Masters JD MD PhD and MBA programs. It will comply with state or local minimum wage requirements specific to the job location.
