We are looking for a Senior Occupational Safety Technician to join our team Based in Poços de Caldas/MG and reporting to the HSE Manager you will be responsible for conducting audits monitoring and evaluating activities related to occupational safety identifying variables for controlling diseases accidents quality of life and the environment aiming to ensure conditions that control and reduce the risks of accidents in accordance with specific legislation standards procedures and company guidelines.
You will be responsible for:
- Conducting inspections in workplaces and other unit premises identifying risk conditions taking all measures to eliminate risks reporting and guiding workers to eliminate unsafe conditions and acts. Entering the requested information on the e-Social platform as well as periodically updating the data provided and acting on inconsistencies.
- Preparation of the Occupational Health and Safety Profile (PPP).
- Providing support to the competent authority for the assessment of environmental risks as well as the preparation of the PGR/GRO and supporting the CIPA (Internal Commission for Accident Prevention) by organizing the necessary activities and resources.
- Conducting expert assessments and analyses of the causes of occupational diseases and the environmental conditions in which they occurred taking the measures required by law to prevent their recurrence as well as correcting the unhealthy conditions that cause these diseases.
- Collaborating with the CIPA in its programs studying its observations and proposals aiming to adopt corrective and preventive solutions for workplace accidents.
- Collaborating on projects for building modifications or new company/unit installations adoption of technologies and work processes aiming to create safer working conditions.
- Participating in the development and implementation of occupational health and safety (OHS) policies and standards as well as maintaining documentation for legal compliance. Developing educational actions in the area of occupational health and safety.
- Establish measures for the prevention and maintenance of fire-fighting equipment in perfect working order controlling its distribution throughout the units premises and sending it for maintenance and recharging.
- Determine and guide workers in the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as well as acquire and distribute all equipment.
- Provide and catalog the execution of safety signs posters or signage and provide warning signs related posters and risk maps.
- Collect and study statistics on workplace accidents occupational and work-related diseases analyzing their causes and severity aiming at the adoption of preventive measures.
- Promote campaigns lectures and other forms of training with the objective of disseminating occupational safety and hygiene standards as well as informing and raising awareness among workers about unhealthy dangerous and arduous activities monitoring and evaluating training and dissemination activities.
- Prepare training programs on occupational safety including awareness programs and dissemination of safety standards strengthening awareness and/or dissemination of standards and procedures. Ensure that conservation cleaning and hygiene procedures are observed in the work area as well as guide third parties in complying with safety discipline and accident prevention standards.

- Higher or Technical Education in Occupational Safety Occupational;
- E-Social PPP handling of specific instruments for the function;
- Legal and systems training when applicable;
- Desirable training in Interpretation of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards;
- Desirable training in Integrated Internal Auditor or SSO.
