Role Summary:
The Operating Room RN provides direct patient care and serves as a patient advocate throughout the perioperative process. This role supports surgeons and anesthesia providers to ensure patient safety comfort and dignity before during and after surgery.
The Charge Nurse provides clinical leadership on the unit coordinating patient care supervising nursing staff and ensuring efficient operations. This role serves as a resource for the team promotes patient safety and supports quality care delivery.
Hours:
Monday Friday; PRN
No nights weekends holidays or call
What Youll Do:
Oversee daily unit operations ensuring smooth patient flow and optimal staffing coverage
Assign patient care responsibilities to nursing staff and monitor workload distribution
Provide direct patient care as needed including assessment interventions and documentation
Serve as a resource and mentor for staff supporting professional development and education
Collaborate with physicians allied health professionals and other departments to coordinate patient care
Monitor adherence to policies procedures and safety standards
Support patient safety risk-management and quality-improvement initiatives
Communicate effectively with patients families and team members to ensure continuity of care
Participate in staff meetings committees and performance improvement activities
What Youll Bring:
Associates degree or bachelors of science in nursing
Current RN license
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Operating Room Experience; minimum 1 year
Strong clinical judgment organizational skills and communication abilities
Strong teamwork organization and communication skills
Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs routinely and up to 100 lbs occasionally
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Windows environment)
