Youth Tumbling Instructor

Position Purpose:

Family Wellness is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Youth Tumbling Instructor to lead a fun engaging tumbling class for children ages 38. This position is ideal for individuals with a background in gymnastics either as a participant or coachwho enjoy working with young children in a positive structured environment.

Classes are held in a circuit-style format focusing on basic tumbling skills such as: forward rolls jumps cartwheels and handstands.

The curriculum is provided for you though you are welcome to add your own creative touch to best fit your teaching style and the participants needs.

Possible future opportunities to have additional classes and can create a schedule around your availability.

Job Specific Competencies:

• Lead and supervise weekly tumbling classes for children ages 38
• Teach foundational gymnastics movements with an emphasis on safety and proper technique
• Create a fun supportive and inclusive class environment
• Modify or adapt curriculum to match the skill levels of participants
• Ensure the safety of all participants during class and while using equipment
• Communicate positively with parents staff and children

Education Experience & Skills (Minimum Requirement):
16 years or older. Preferred skills include working knowledge of fitness equipment basic understanding of safety procedures excellent customer service skills professional communication and the ability to work effectively with people of different backgrounds abilities opinions and perceptions.

Licensure/Certification Requirement(s):

CPR/AED and First Aid certification required upon hire or obtained prior to class starting if possible. Classes can be taken at Family Wellness on a monthly basis and fee will be refunded if you pass.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in gymnastics (as an athlete and/or coach) required
• Experience working with young children preferred
• Ability to lead activities with energy positivity and patience
• Must be reliable and punctual for the full class session (Tuesdays Nov 425 57 PM)
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willing to obtain

While performing the duties of this job this employee is frequently required to use fine motor skills to operate a computer keyboard and mouse and must sit stand walk and kneel. Blood Exposure:

This position has a low risk of exposure to bloodborne pathogens and other potentially infectious materials. Training is required upon hire and maintained yearly.
