Position Summary
The Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking to fill two (2) fixed-term faculty positions in the Operations academic area with an anticipated start date of July 1 2026. The main duties will be teaching in the Schools undergraduate and masters programs on topics related to operations management and/or business analytics. The successful candidates will coordinate with the Area Chair and programs to determine the specific courses that will be taught and teaching responsibilities may include both in-person and online instruction. Additionally the successful candidates may be expected to contribute to service (examples include but are not limited to committee work professional talks and mentoring) and impact activities (examples include but are not limited to presentations at meetings and conferences research and publications in field of interest) that positively enhance the School business community and society.
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
A doctoral degree completed or dissertation defense completed before the appointment date is strongly preferred. Candidates with experience teaching operations management business analytics and/or related courses in a business school environment are preferred. Industry experience in an operations management role and/or applied statistics analytics or artificial intelligence are also preferred.
