Position Summary:
Our team is growing and were looking for a detail-oriented Processing Assistant to support our loan operations team. This part-time role is perfect for someone who enjoys administrative work organizing documents and keeping processes running smoothly.
As a Processing Assistant youll play an important part in the loan processing workflow. Youll be responsible for ordering verification documents requesting insurance and ensuring files are properly set up and reviewed for accuracy.
Schedule: 25 hours per week
Location: On-site (North Scottsdale - Scottsdale Rd & Frank Lloyd Wright)
Performance Objectives:
- Order Verifications of Employment (VOEs) and Verifications of Rent (VORs)
- Request and track insurance documentation
- Set up new loan files and ensure proper organization
- Review incoming documents for completeness and accuracy
- Maintain updated notes logs and status trackers
- Communicate with borrowers team members and external partners
- Provide general administrative support to keep processing tasks on schedule
Requirements
Key Competencies:
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy is crucial in loan processing to ensure all documents are complete and error-free.
- Communication Skills: Clear and concise communication with clients loan officers and other stakeholders is necessary to gather information and provide updates on loan applications.
- Time Management: Managing multiple loan applications simultaneously requires strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Customer Service: Providing excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries resolving issues and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
- Knowledge of Regulations: Understanding of relevant lending regulations and compliance requirements to ensure loan applications adhere to legal guidelines.
- Computer Proficiency: Comfortable using loan processing software spreadsheets and other digital tools to input data generate reports and manage documents efficiently.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to assess financial documents credit reports and other information to evaluate loan applications and identify potential risks.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Being proactive in resolving issues that may arise during the loan processing cycle such as discrepancies in documentation or credit concerns.
- Teamwork: Collaborating effectively with loan officers underwriters and other team members to expedite the loan approval process and deliver a positive experience for clients.
Education & Experience:
- Must have 3 years of administrative experience
- 1-year loan processing experience
- Ability to fluently read write and speak English and Spanish (preferred)
- Ability to provide excellent customer service in person and on the phone
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and frequent interruptions
- Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and courtesy
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Excellent records and file management skills
- Knowledge and experience using MS Word Excel Outlook
Physical Requirements:
- Physical Activities: Constantly sit talk or hear; Frequently use hands;
- Lifting Requirements: Up to 10 lbs.
