HERS Advisors has partnered with a growing full-service law firm in Downtown Los Angeles California (hybrid) who has an immediate need for a Litigation Assistant to support three Partners.
Responsibilities for Litigation Assistant:
- Open maintain and close client files.
- Organize and maintain filing and retrieval systems.
- eFiling in the state and federal courts.
- Assist in the preparation and filing of regulatory documents and compliance reports.
- Manage calendars organize and schedule external and internal meetings teleconferences networking events etc.
- Handle extensive client contact both via phone email and in-person.
- Draft edit and proofread legal documents correspondence and redline comparisons for correct grammar spelling punctuation format syntax and content.
- Maintain attorney credit card reconciliations time entry and other internal procedures.
Requirements for Litigation Assistant:
- 3 years of law firm administrative support experience working as a litigation assistant or legal secretary.
- eFiling in the state and federal courts.
- Prior experience with commercial litigation including drafting legal documents managing case files preparing discovery materials and organizing exhibit binders is required.
- Strong production skills with ability to produce accurate work product when transcribing tapes formatting documents inputting data editing copying scanning and transmitting text data and graphics is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Adobe Internet research skills document management systems and attorney time entry software is required.
