Job Summary

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer IV

Location: Corning NY/100% onsite

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

Lead detailed mechanical design of precision motion systems tooling and fixturing
Own all phases of equipment design build vendor coordination and debugging
Provide hands-on mechanical support for installation start-up and debug of manufacturing equipment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical electrical controls facilities IT and operations
Independently develop engineering solutions to complex mechanical problems
Verify equipment builds and layouts against engineering drawings and specifications

Requirements:

BS in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics (mandatory)
Minimum of 10 years of mechanical design experience
Strong background in precision engineering and machine design
Ability to support on-site installation and debugging at R&D and factory locations
Experience working with vendors and resolving equipment build or installation discrepancies
