Job Description:
- Under the direct supervision of the Laboratory Manager the MT/MLT
provides technical support by performing analyses tests and procedures that
assist in the prevention diagnosis or treatment of diseases. - Accessioning/ ordering tests in the Laboratory Information Systems
(LIS) and processing specimens with referral to the reference laboratories. - Operates maintains and calibrates the equipment used to ensure it is
operating efficiently and providing accurate results - Performs basic troubleshooting as needed
- Maintain documentation according to regulatory agencies and write
laboratory policies and procedures. - Exposure to infectious clinical specimens on a regular basis so
adherence to sterilization and infection control procedures is required. - This position is responsible for using his/her skill accuracy
proficiency and dedication to work in all laboratory sections performing
analytical testing on patients specimens. - Candidate must demonstrate excellent customer service skills. Candidate must be comfortable with routine phlebotomy.
