VAL-CO an agricultural manufacturing plan headquartered in eastern Lancaster county Pennsylvania is seeking a Human Resource Representative for our New Holland location.
This position will assist the Director of Human Resources in the day-to-day delivery of services including staffing retention employee engagement benefits administration record keeping and administrative responsibilities. This position will also process payroll on a weekly basis.
VAL-CO offers competitive pay Paid Time Off Benefit eligibility 1st of month after 30 days 401k with company match.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Processing weekly payroll including entering all changes and maintenance running various reports quarterly tax reconciliations quarterly bonus calculations and ensuring timely submission of various timely uploads for 401k and benefit funding.
- Assist in the screening and selectin process for qualified applicants for all non-exempt positions
- Conduct new hire orientation including benefit meetings and answer questions related to company benefits
- Meet with terminating employees to provide relevant documentation and discuss benefit options; conduct exit interviews
- Coordinate employee events such as recognition events holiday events fun committee flu shots etc.
- Maintain all current and terminated personnel files and human resource documents both onsite and electronically; upload personnel documents to iSolved
- Contribute to the future human resources strategy development and execute associated projects and other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in related field or comparable experience
- Two years or greater of demonstrated performance in the execution of human resources functional services including human resource administration payroll staffing
- Demonstrated HRIS and/or time and attendance software skill and work experience
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel to the Ohio location 1 week a month
- Works with a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to deliver presentations in both small group and large group environments
- Must understand confidentiality and be able to adhere to company confidentiality rules
