Louisiana Office of Juvenile Justice (OJJ) is driven by a powerful mission: protecting our communities while helping youth build safer healthier and more successful futures. We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Social Worker 6-A to provide advanced clinical services and support the rehabilitation of youth in our care.

In this meaningful role you will deliver therapeutic interventions conduct assessments coordinate treatment plans and work closely with youth families and multidisciplinary teams to promote healing and positive behavioral change. Your expertise will directly influence the well-being and long-term success of the young people we serve.

Job Duties and Other Information

Job Duties:

  • Plans organizes and implements all regional social work services.
  • Coordinates the activities of the program with other units and agencies.
  • Administers an involved training program for students of a recognized university that have interns with the agency.
  • Acts as consultant on social work matters to other professionals administrators psychologists occupational therapist medical director residential care and training directors.
  • Assesses and evaluates social work program effectiveness through quality control activities and statistical analysis.
  • Develops interprets and implements policy and procedures for the regional clinical social work program.

Work Location:This vacancy is located at Bridge City Center for Youth in Bridge City Louisiana.

Appointment Type:Full time probational

Work Schedule: This position works Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.

The incumbent of this position must not have been convicted or pled nolo contendere to a crime listed in R.S. 15:587.1 (c).
