Summary of Job Duties:
The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist produces radiographic images for medical interpretation as needed. When radiology tasks are not required this position works under the direct supervision of the clinic nurse physician or licensed provider by assisting in the examination and treatment of patients.* This position may float to other IMSL Clinics as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates - Graduate of an approved Radiology program.
- Registered or eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Licensed by the State of Arkansas in Radiology Technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BLS Certification
- 1 year of Radiological Imaging experience.
- Pediatric Experience a plus.
Additional Information:
Responsibilities:
Producing radiographs for medical interpretation.
Entering information into the Radiology Information System.
Processing Images in Computed Radiography System.
Reviewing Images in the PACS System.
Collecting patient data performing vital signs and documenting information into the patients Electronic Medical Record.
Performing specimen collection including phlebotomy and preparing laboratory specimens for and/or performing laboratory analysis.
Performing electrocardiograms and transmitting recordings for analysis.
Setting up for and assisting the physician or licensed provider with procedures and examinations.
Collect patient data measure vital signs (i.e. pulse rate temperature blood pressure weight and height) and record information on patients Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Draw and collect blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis as well as obtain EKGs.
Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients and performs administrative tasks as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
