Role Overview
We are seeking a Job Captain to prepare complete and accurate architectural documents coordinate engineering contract documents and project manuals and collaborate with the Production Team across all project phases. You will work under the direction of Principals and Project Managers while directing team members and interfacing with clients.
Key Responsibilities
Documentation & Technical
- Prepare review and check all construction documents for accuracy
- Coordinate documents with internal team members and external consultants
- Apply working knowledge of lighting HVAC structural plumbing fire protection and electrical design
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of architectural detailing and construction standards
Team Leadership & Coordination
- Direct Production Team assign tasks and allocate resources
- Facilitate communication among staff regarding project status objectives and performance
- Interface with clients as directed and manage relationships to ensure satisfaction
- Foster an atmosphere for learning and professional growth
Project Management & Administration
- Coordinate submission of documents to building departments
- Support construction administration (RFIs shop drawings submittals)
- Lead field survey teams for as-built documentation
- Maintain organize and archive project files
Qualifications
- Degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
- 5 years of experience in a professional architecture office
- Multi-family residential and mixed-use experience required
- Advanced skills in Revit CAD and Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of CBC ADA and relevant building codes
- Strong communication time management and organizational skills
Preferred
- Licensed Architect in California
- Broad experience across various project types and phases
- Ability to make independent decisions and recommendations
