Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support patient care in an acute clinical setting in Syracuse NY. This role involves working collaboratively with physicians and the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient-centered care. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented organized and capable of working independently while contributing to a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patients prepare them for examinations and escort them to designated exam rooms
Assist physicians during examinations and clinical procedures including administering injections and supporting Pap tests
Prepare and maintain trays instruments and equipment for procedures
Measure document and monitor vital signs patient progress and responses to treatment
Deliver nursing care in accordance with established care plans and under the supervision of licensed providers
Maintain cleanliness organization and readiness of exam rooms and clinical areas
Provide support for administrative and front-office functions including scheduling filing chart preparation and reception coverage as needed
Coordinate with insurance providers to obtain authorizations for diagnostic tests therapies and procedures
Communicate with referring providers to obtain or extend patient referrals
Observe patient conditions and promptly report changes or concerns to nursing staff or physicians
Participate in unit operations quality improvement initiatives and compliance activities
Qualifications
Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of New York
Prior experience in an acute care or clinical setting preferred
Ability to perform patient care duties with minimal supervision
Proficiency in taking and accurately documenting vital signs and patient assessments
Experience administering injections and assisting with clinical procedures
Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems strongly preferred
Strong communication organizational and interpersonal skills
