The LA County Board of Supervisors has unanimouslyratified a Proclamation of Local Emergency in response to the windstorms and wildfires including the Palisades and Eaton Fires that have devastated communities across the County. We are looking for qualified and passionate individuals to assist the County in mobilizing resources and support needed to help our residents recover and rebuild. Option I:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a closely related field AND four (4) years of recent ** full-time*** paid experience in design development implementation operation and maintenance of information systemsone (1) year of which must have been in a lead**** or supervisory***** capacity.
Option II:
One (1) year at the level of Senior Application Developer Senior Network Systems Administrator Senior Operating Systems Analyst orSenior Information Systems Analyst. Experience must have been in a lead capacity.
Option III:
Five (5) years of recent** full-time*** paid experience in design development implementation operation and maintenance of information systemstwo (2) years of which must have been in a lead**** or supervisory***** capacity.
You MUST meet the above requirement(s) in order to be appointed to fill any vacancies related to this recruitment.
LICENSE:
A valid California Class C Driver License or the ability to utilize an alternative method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions.
*License and Certification Information
The exam analyst will verify the required certification. You must include a copy of your certificate within five (5) days of filing your application.

**Recent is defined as experience gained within the last five (5) years from the last day of filing.
***Full-time experience is defined as 40 hours per week.
****Lead experience is defined as assigning coordinating and reviewing the work of staff ensuring proper work methods are followed and providing technical assistance and training but does not supervise.
*****Supervisory experience is defined as responsibility for planning assigning and reviewing the work of assigned staff evaluating employee performance participating in interviews and selecting new staff and performance management.
PHYSICAL CLASS:
II - Light: This class includes administrative and clerical positions requiring light physical effort that may include occasional light lifting to a 10-pound limit and some bending stooping or squatting. Considerable ambulation may be involved.
EXAMINATION CONTENT:
During your initial work period the appointing department will evaluate your performance. Those who achieve a passing score on this evaluation will be considered for permanent appointment.

Veterans Credit:
Pursuant to the County Charter and County policy in all open competitive examinations (i.e. examinations open to everyone) the County of Los Angeles will add a credit of 10 percent of the total credits specified for such examination to the final passing score of an honorably discharged veteran as well as the spouse of a deceased or disabled veteran who served in the Armed Forces of the United States under specific conditions.
