Job Summary

We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black-box design concepts to highly engineered composites TPEs and TPOs as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.
Summary:
Shipping Supervisor supervises and coordinates the activities of employees responsible for verifying and maintaining records for incoming and outgoing shipments and preparing materials for shipment. Reviews shipping notices bills of lading invoices orders and related documents to determine priorities assign work and select appropriate shipping methods to meet shipping and receiving schedules using knowledge of shipping procedures routes and carrier rates.
Essential Functions:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Responsible for shipping personnel and conformance to policy and procedures.
- Responsible for shipping procedures (i.e.) load sheets pick list staging auditing etc.
- Responsible for scheduling vacations overtime and training.
- Communicates with Customer Service and Production Scheduling as required.
- Organization and Identification of Finished Goods.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse using 5S principles and coordinate efficient safe traffic flow between warehouse production and shipping.
- Verify inventories as needed and communicate discrepancies.
- Act as back up for shipping / receiving personnel and assist as needed with shipping functions that require hi-lo driving.
- Participate in physical inventories.
- Maintain shipping board.
- Ensure CTPAT procedure is followed.
- Ensure Dock Lock Procedure is followed.
- Responsible for answering for transportation to all service locations.
- Ensure all returnable areas are kept clean and organized.
- Perform daily safety walk through.
- Environmental Responsibilities- Cooperation with action team directives:
- CFT Team Member
- Safety Team Member
- Perform other duties as required for the safe efficient operation of the plant.
Qualifications:
- To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Education and/or Experience- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or a minimum of three (3) years related experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of the following customer portals is preferred:
- GM
- Ford
- Stellantis
- Honda
