This full-time hybrid position will be based in either London or Gdansk with hybrid working available (in office 3 days per week).

Reuters isseekingan experienced professional to join our Agency Commercial Operations team.This roleis responsible forend-to-end rights management and contract operations across the Reuters Agency business ensuring that rights weacquire(for Reuters use) and rights welicense(to customers partners and other third parties) are governed accuratelycapturedand operationalized throughout the contract lifecycle. The role also leads the AgencysIP enforcementprogram including emerging risks associated with AI-enabled misuse.

About the Role

AsDirector of Rights Management andContractOperations you will be responsible for:

Rights Management

  • Owning all aspects of rights management across the Agency business (including rightsacquiredfor Reuters use and rightslicensed/grantedto customers partners and third parties).

  • Developing and executing a strategy to evolve how Reuters tracks governs and reports on rights granted andacquired- ensuring rights data is captured atcontract stageandmaintainedacross the full license lifecycle (renewals amendmentsterminationsand usage changes).

  • Establishing andmaintainingglobal governance for rights acquisition and licensing matters (including rights data standards) partnering closely withContent PartnershipsEditorial and other stakeholders.

  • Serving asanadvisor to internal stakeholders and external customers on rights management questions-proactively providing guidance and responding to escalations and complex requests.

Contracting operations

  • Managing and developing a small team ofRightsManagement specialists sat within the Global Commercial Operations team.

  • Overseeing the work of theGlobalContractOperationsteam and all operational aspects of the contract lifecycle: drafting support approvals and sign-off coordination productpermissioning/entitlementenablementand contract data management.

  • Driving continuous improvement across workflowscontrolsandenabling tools so the team canoperateefficientlyand processes areoptimizedfor scale speed and risk management.

  • Monitoring and supporting consistent application of relevant policies across departments helping ensure Reuters commercial rights and IP interests are uniformly protected.

IP Enforcement

  • Leading all aspects of IP enforcement across the Agency business including intake triage escalation pathways casemanagementand outcomes reporting.

  • Establishing clear governance for IP enforcement activities aligned with Commercial Policy Reuters legalcounseland other stakeholders - ensuring cases are handled consistently and reachtimelyresolution.

  • Overseeing third-party relationships supporting IP enforcement (includingtechnologyvendors) and ensure performance controls and escalation processes meet business needs.

  • Leading efforts to counter misuse of Reuters IP by third parties using AI tools/technology. Building strong situational awareness of the external environmentmonitoringongoingchangeand providing regular updates and recommendations to business andtechnologyleaders to manage risk andoptimizeoutcomes.

  • Acting asasubject matter experton copyright-related issues and track relevant industry developments that could affect Reuters risk position or enforcement strategy.

About You

Youre a fit for the role of Director of Rights Management andContractOperationsif you have:

  • Demonstrable knowledge ofcontent rightslicensingand copyright.

  • Strongcontract lifecycleand contract data management experience (CLMa plus).

  • Proven ability tobuild governanceand drive consistent policy adoption globally.

  • Experience operatingIP enforcementworkflows and vendor/tool ecosystems.

  • Asystemsand data mindset: clean inputs at signature usable rights records actionable reporting.

  • Excellent communication skills and a pragmatic approach to decision-making with the ability to balance risk compliance and commercial outcomes.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. For Poland the base compensation range for this role is 280000 PLN - 520000 PLN. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individuals knowledge skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
