Role description:
Arcadis is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Resilience team in Milano Italy. As part of our Environmental Restoration (ER) group you will collaborate with the ER Solution Leader and a dedicated multidisciplinary and specialized team of environmental professionals.
Role accountabilities:
- Manage and deliver environmental projects of varying sizes and complexities.
- Define and oversee project scope schedules budgets and project risks to mitigate.
- Provide technical guidance conduct senior reviews prepare and review reports work plans specifications and proposals.
- Adhere to corporate policies and procedures for quality health safety and performance management systems.
- Lead technical tasks and field programs related to:
- Contaminated site investigations
- Feasibility studies
- Remediation design
- Hydrogeological assessments
- Monitoring programs
- Site remediation delivery
- Support technical guidance across sectors such as oil & gas mining power infrastructure brownfields and government projects.
- Ensure clear definition and achievement of project objectives (scope schedule cost).
- Ensure regulatory compliance and technical accuracy in project deliverables.
- Manage technical budgets and oversee the work of intermediate and junior staff.
- Mentor team members and foster a collaborative working environment.
Qualifications & Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience with managing Contaminated Sites and Site Remediation.
- Experience in Engineering Geoscience and Technology with a focus on Site Investigations Remediation Risk Management and Environmental Monitoring.
- Excellent Italian and English language competency (At least B2).
- Expertise in environmental compliance and knowledge of provincial and national Italian guidelines and regulations.
- Experience in managing contaminated sites across sectors such as industrial facilities refineries and commercial plants.
- Proven leadership in designing and executing field programs with strong data analysis and report-writing skills. Experience in quality control and assurance processes and effectively presenting results to clients.
- Familiarity with responding to Requests for Proposals Expressions of Interest and Statements of Qualifications is advantageous.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Flexibility to travel for site visits and meetings as needed.
- Experience in sectors like oil and gas mining power and government managing projects at sites such as industrial facilities and renewable energy installations.
- Ability to deliver comprehensive project proposals and reports.
