Job Summary

Responsibilities:

  • Under general direction plans and organizes facility maintenance repairs and physical operation and performs related duties as required.
  • Through subordinate supervisors plans organizes and schedules the work of various craft workers such as HVAC (heating ventilation and air conditioning) repair workers carpenters electricians plumbers and painters.
  • Directs facility repairs installations small construction remodeling grounds improvement and maintenance projects; coordinates with other departments to complete remodeling projects; reviews remodeling plans for energy efficiency and proper construction methods; maintains records of materials used; orders and purchases new materials.
  • Ensures that facilities comply with state federal and local laws ordinances regulations and codes pertaining to the building industry.
  • Supervises emergency repair jobs; inspects field work performed; plans and estimates maintenance and repair work; maintains records of work order requests and completion.
  • May administer contracts; reviews work of contractors to ensure that work is completed in accordance with the timeliness and standards of quality set forth in the contract.
  • Analyzes and investigates maintenance and personnel problems or issues and prepares and compiles written reports to the Facilities Manager with solutions and/or recommendations.
  • Prepares worker accident reports; identifies and resolves safety hazards for staff; arranges for employee safety training; maintains safety records.
  • Monitor and maintain facilities operational condition within established regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Exhibit a customer-oriented behavior by clearly understanding customers needs and expectations and anticipating possible barriers or obstacles that may impact the project(s) adversely and communicating these on a timely manner.
  • All documentation must be free of errors controlled and well-organized.
  • Manage technical issues/problems appropriately and efficiently.
  • Guarantee top quality of services provided to client by reviewing work performed documentation submitted get hold of client feedback and monitoring project status vs. client requirements.
  • Create/develop customer relations and new business opportunities.
  • Promote excellent relationship with MENTOR clients encouraging an open dialog and trustful communication between both parties demonstrating a professional conduct at all times and proudly represent MENTOR at all levels and places.
  • Alerts management when problems are identified and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Must be a team player committed to developing and working in a quality environment.
  • Complies with MENTOR administrative requirements timely and consistently in areas such as: weekly reports updating of CVs yearly updates of medical/training records attendance to work etc.
  • Preserve MENTOR as the preferred provider for engineering utilities outsourcing validation and regulatory compliance services.
  • Models company values and ethical behavior in all relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Strictly follow companys Safety cGMPs Policies and Procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by manager upper management or by the client to support normal operations.

Qualifications Requirements/Knowledge/Education/Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in a Science or Engineering discipline.
  • MBA MS or ME preferred.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment:

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger handle feel or operate equipments tools or controls. The employee frequently is required to stand walk talk or hear; sit; climb or balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl; and smell. The employee may lift and/or move up to 25-35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision color vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • He / she may frequently work inside weather conditions near moving mechanical parts exposed to wet and or humid conditions and an odorous atmosphere may be exposed to fumes and the risk of electrical shock and occasionally work on ladders in high places in small spaces such as lift/metering stations manholes tanks and wet wells. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderately loud.
