Summer 2026 TikTok and Communications Intern
The National Partnership for Women & Families is a nonprofit nonpartisan 501(c)(3) organization that fights for equity for all women and families. Were passionate about making changes on big issues such as equal pay for all women paid leave for working families and access to affordable health care that provides abortion and reproductive care. We advocate on the Hill and for federal state and local policy.
We are seeking a TikTok and Communications Intern to join our energetic communications team to elevate the issues of health care reproductive rights and fairness in the workplace. We are looking for a chronically online digital native who feels comfortable in front of a camera as well as comfortable interviewing others and keeps a finger on the pulse of rapidly changing social trends. The internship runs from June to mid-August and operates in a hybrid in-person office environment in Washington this role you will acquire a broad background in communications strategy hone technology skills and participate in special projects with program staff. This is a great opportunity for students interested in a career in communications and/or digital media.

The internship is paid at the District of Columbia hourly minimum wage rate of $17.95 per hour.
Employment and Workplace Details
The internship runs from June through early August. Start and end dates are flexible and will be set in advance of the interns first day.
This internship is designed to be part-time (15-25 hours per week) or full-time (26-37.5 hours per week). We recognize that some students may have Summer academic those cases a reduced schedule may be considered but interns must still be able to commit to a consistent pre-set weekly schedule during our regular business hours Monday-Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. ET. This role requires sustained work blocks and is not designed for intermittent or short-interval availability.
This is a Washington D.C. based internship. Candidates must be located in the DC/DMV area and able to reasonably commute to our Washington D.C. Office for required in-person days.
While this role does not require regular daily onsite presence Summer Development interns are required to work from the DC office at least four (4) times per month. These in-office days will be scheduled in advance. This internship is not fully remote.
Interns will have access to a computer when working in the office but they will need to use their own computer when working remotely. If you dont have access to your own computer please email to arrange for alternative arrangements.
