Job Summary

Allied REIT is looking for aProperty Accountantto join our Accounting and Finance team.

At Allied everything starts with the role of Property Accountant you will manage the full accounting cycle of a portfolio of commercial properties. This in turn allows Allied to make financial decisions that benefit our communities with accuracy and efficiency.

This posting is for two existing vacancies resulting from internal mobility.

What will you do

Manage the full accounting cycle of a portfolio of properties including preparing journal entries monthly operating costs and tax recovery estimates.
Review and analyze financial statements balance sheets recovery ratios to provide variance analysis.
Prepare final annual operating costs and tax recovery adjustments including preparing CAM audit statements and assisting with property tax appeals.
Provide information for audit related queries and property appraisers and ensure that monthly reporting deadlines are met.
Support our Finance team in the completion of annual budget and special projects.

What are we looking for

At least two years of work experience in Property Accounting.
University degree or college diploma in accounting or a related field.
A willingness to learn and a positive attitude.
An interest in the pursuit of a CPA CGA or CMA designation.
Strong computer skills including MS Excel and MS Word.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Bilingual (French and English) would be an asset.

$55000 - $800000 a year

Individual pay is determined by work location and other factors including relevant experience education/training and internal equity.
