Job Summary

The Golden Hills School Division invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Interim CASA Classroom teacher in Strathmore AB for the 202 6 /202 7 school year.

The CASA (Child and Adolescent Services Assessment) Classroom Program is a treatment-oriented program that is a collaboration between Alberta Health Services CASA and school divisions. Golden Hills is hiring a teacher to join a multidisciplinary team that will support the mental health needs of students in a school environment.

Qualifications should include:

Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Effective organization and classroom management skills
Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe supported and challenged
Excellent verbal and written skills
Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction
Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice

In addition to the expectations we have for all teachers the following skills and experiences are considered an asset:

Experience working with students with diagnosed mental health or social-emotional challenges
Experience in diverse classrooms with a wide range of learning and regulation needs
Training in mental health literacy and trauma-informed teaching practices
