Full Stack Software Engineer III- Java, React

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Asset & Wealth Management you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Executes software solutions including design development and technical troubleshooting with the ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems.
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications ensuring that design constraints are met throughout software code development.
• Gathers analyzes synthesizes and develops visualizations and reporting from large diverse data sets to drive continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
• Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data using these insights to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and participates in events that explore new and emerging technologies.
• Adds to a team culture of diversity opportunity inclusion and respect.

Required qualifications capabilities and skills

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3 years of applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience in system design application development testing and ensuring operational stability.
• Proficient in coding in one or more languages such as Java React etc.
• Expertise in Java with a proven track record of building and integrating robust backend solutions using frameworks such as Spring.
• Experience developing interactive and responsive user interfaces with React applying best practices in front-end development to deliver high-quality web applications.
• Experience developing debugging and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Ability to collaborate with portfolio managers to understand their needs and proactively develop solutions that streamline and enhance investment workflows.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD application resiliency and security.
• Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g. cloud artificial intelligence machine learning mobile etc.).
• Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL queries for data retrieval manipulation and analysis across relational database systems.
