The Resilient Living Aide position is responsible for the day-to-day social opportunities of the household. The Aide guides residents as they develop a culture of home within each Household encouraging residents resilience and engagement to thrive in the face of significant life challenges.
What Youll Do
- Responsible to provide activities for residents in their Household; conducts programs visits and activities geared to the interest and abilities of the residents.
- Assists residents with resilient living. Resilient Living at Meadow View means: normalcy of living (i.e. living life as they would outside of Memory Support spending time with others engaging in group activities or meaningful 1:1s).
- Assists at meal times by helping to set tables (or invite a resident to help set the table as a meaningful 1:1) and other meal time-related tasks like serving drinks and plates to tables.
- Welcomes new residents and their families keeps new residents on their radar to especially invite and include in activities as they first settle in and we learn their likes dislikes preferences etc.
- Ensures all residents have opportunities to participate in meaningful and purposeful activities and special events of their choosing.
- Engages with family members; cultivates a vibrant community for purposeful living for our residents involving their families. Invites and reminds family members about upcoming events and activities.
- Facilitates and influences the mood and tone of the Household encouraging residents and Household team members to be contributing members of the Household.
- Problem solves when concerns arise and ensures that complaints and concerns are handled in a timely manner; keeps Resilient Living Coordinator or Director aware of issues to provide support and assistance.
- Attends all in-services team meetings ongoing trainings.
- Meets regularly with the Resilient Living Coordinator to engage in monthly team meetings.
- Comes to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrates dependability and punctuality.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What Were Looking For
- Must be 18 and have either a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have a basic understanding of technology (i.e. answering emails using an iPad typing on a computer etc.).
- Must be willing to develop or already have a sense of creativity resourcefulness and imagination.
- Must have excellent customer service skills: patience tact cheerfulness and enthusiasm.
- Must be willing to assist in the Households as needed.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and printed instructions.
- Must be efficient and organized with a good sense of responsibility and a high degree of personal hygiene and cleanliness.
- Must treat residents with kindness cheerfulness and respect.

This position is part-time (13 hours per week)!
