Position Summary

The U.S. Dispatcher plays a critical role in coordinating daily transportation and delivery operations across domestic routes. This position partners closely with drivers management customer service teams and internal offices to ensure shipments are recovered monitored and delivered safely compliantly and on time. The role requires strong multitasking ability real-time problem solving and consistent communication in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate the recovery and tender of freight at local airports
• Break down freight upon return to the office
• Monitor drivers to ensure all pickup and delivery expectations are met
• Create and adjust delivery routes and schedules to maximize driver efficiency
• Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers and internal teams managing high inbound and outbound call volumes
• Monitor shipment clearance status and update dispatch systems with accurate notes for Customer Service and origin offices
• Ensure all special pickup and delivery instructions are clearly communicated and followed
• Monitor all On-Hold shipments pending export and or delivery approval
• Maintain and update the Outbound Flight Monitor
• Monitor and maintain cold chain integrity for all shipments at airports and in-office storage
• Assist with preparation refurbishment and configuration of gel pack and packaging materials
• Ensure proper storage of shipments at airline facilities and office locations
• Monitor and respond to personal and group email accounts in a timely manner
• Assist leadership team members with daily operational activities as needed
• Maintain all required training records certifications qualifications and testing by assigned deadlines
• Ensure compliance with all company policies regulatory requirements and standard operating procedures
• Report complaints concerns or issues to management immediately
• Perform additional related duties as assigned
• Work overtime as required

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Typically requires 2 to 3 years of experience in a related dispatch logistics transportation or operations role
• Proficient computer skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
• Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
• Strong sense of urgency and accountability
• Professional demeanor and ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to safely lift and move packages up to 75 pounds
• Ability to work flexible schedules including occasional afternoons evenings weekends and overtime as required

Work Environment

• Combination of office and warehouse settings depending on daily operational needs
• Occasional entry into walk-in refrigeration and freezer units thermal apparel provided
• Temporary work inside delivery trucks during loading and unloading of freight
