Job Summary
The Facilities Supervisor supports daily facilities operations within a commercial vehicle manufacturing environment. This role oversees building systems coordinates preventive and corrective maintenance manages service vendors and helps ensure a safe compliant and reliable site.
The supervisor works closely with Maintenance Production Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) and Engineering teams while supporting facilities-related capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Facilities Operations & Maintenance

Supervise daily operation and upkeep of building systems including HVAC electrical distribution plumbing fire/life-safety ventilation utilities and yard infrastructure

Administer CMMS work orders preventive maintenance schedules and spare parts tracking
-
Coordinate maintenance activities to support production uptime and minimize outages
-
Partner with production and maintenance teams on equipment installs and facility modifications
-
Oversee site services such as janitorial landscaping waste management and grounds
-
Monitor industrial infrastructure and escalate issues as needed
Project Support & Site Coordination
-
Support capital projects and construction activities as a facilities liaison
-
Coordinate contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure safe timely completion
-
Track progress identify risks and escalate issues
-
Assist with commissioning and transition to operational readiness
Compliance Safety & Environmental
-
Support compliance with workplace safety regulations and building codes
-
Partner with EHS on safety programs emergency preparedness and contractor compliance
-
Assist with environmental programs related to waste handling and utility systems
-
Ensure contractor adherence to site safety requirements
Vendor & Service Provider Oversight

Coordinate daily activities of external service providers
-
Monitor service quality schedules and performance
-
Review completed work orders and service documentation
Team & Cross-Functional Collaboration

Provide day-to-day supervision of facilities technicians or contractors
-
Communicate maintenance activities and facility updates to stakeholders
-
Collaborate across departments to ensure efficient operations
-
Participate in operations meetings and facilities performance reviews
Qualifications
Required
-
Associates or Bachelors degree in Facilities Management Engineering or equivalent experience
-
58 years of facilities or building maintenance experience in industrial or manufacturing settings
-
Experience supervising technicians or service vendors
-
Working knowledge of building systems and safety requirements
-
Experience using CMMS for maintenance tracking
-
Strong organizational and communication skills
Preferred
-
Facilities management certifications or trade licenses
-
Experience in high-mix or custom manufacturing environments
-
Familiarity with environmental compliance processes
