GoLang Team Lead

EMCD is a global technology leader in the crypto industry best known as the #1 mining pool in Eastern Europe and a Top-10 mining pool worldwide. We are expanding globally and building a comprehensive ecosystem of crypto services including payment infrastructure custody mining solutions and enterprise-grade tools for businesses and institutions. We are looking for a Team Lead / Engineering Lead to join our Monitoring & Analytics Insights team. This role is responsible for delivery ownership technical leadership and team development as well as participation in the design and evolution of high-load monitoring and data analytics systems. The primary focus is on team management processes and architecture with a moderate hands-on involvement (2030%).

About the Team

EMCD Monitoring is a product within the EMCD ecosystem designed for centralized control analytics and maintenance of mining infrastructure. The system consolidates data on organizations sites agents devices and users into a single unified interface. Its primary goal is to reduce operational costs increase process transparency and ensure full end-to-end manageability of the infrastructure - from individual ASIC devices up to the organizational level.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management & Delivery (Core Focus)

• Lead and manage a development team (5 engineers): planning prioritization and execution control
• Collaborate closely with PO/PM on:
  • Roadmap preparation and ongoing updates
  • Epic decomposition and grooming preparation
• Build and maintain a well-structured groomed backlog several sprints ahead
• Plan estimate and control team capacity
• Manage bug scope and volume in collaboration with QA
• Own the release process:
  • Release planning
  • Controlling release scope and content
  • Managing the release calendar
  • Communicating timelines scope and risks to stakeholders
• Provide clear and transparent progress reporting for product and stakeholders

Processes & Operational Excellence

• Support and continuously improve the teams workflow
• Optimize development and delivery processes
• Maintain and evolve project and process documentation:
  • Work instructions
  • Checklists
  • Guidelines
  • Task templates
• Support and customize Jira projects to meet team and delivery needs
• Identify dependencies and blockers across tasks and features and reflect them in the roadmap

Technical Leadership & System Design

• Own the architecture of the monitoring and analytics insights services
• Design and evolve:
  • Distributed
  • High-load
  • Scalable systems
• Participate in key architectural decision-making
• Establish and enforce engineering best practices within the team
• Monitor technical and product metrics
• Challenge technical solutions from the perspective of quality performance and delivery timelines

Hands-On Contribution (2030%)

• Implement architecturally complex or critical components in Go
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship
• Support the team in solving complex engineering problems
• Participate in technical spikes and PoCs including experiments with AI tools

People Management

• Develop the team through mentoring and regular feedback
• Foster strong communication and a healthy team environment
• Build a culture of ownership for results quality and deadlines
• Capture key agreements and maintain transparency within the team

Requirements:

Must-Have

• 3 years of commercial experience with Go
• Proven experience leading a development team (5 engineers)
• Experience in capacity planning and release planning
• Strong expertise in System Design for distributed and high-load systems
• Experience designing and integrating APIs (gRPC / REST)
• Solid understanding of microservices architectures
• Ability to challenge decisions constructively during development and planning

Nice to Have

• Strong PostgreSQL expertise and database optimization experience
• Background in monitoring analytics or data-insights platforms
• Experience improving development and delivery processes
• Hands-on experience customizing Jira for team needs
• Practical understanding and application of Agile methodologies
