Pay Rate/Range: $20-25/hr.
Description: In this role you will be responsible for effectively operating CNC machines and other shop equipment performing machine set-ups and monitoring processes to ensure production and quality meet or exceed customer expectations. Duties include setting up machines by building and setting tools and work offsets loading and unloading parts to keep machines running efficiently and proving out programs as needed to support production. You will also assist in other areas of the shop as needed and inspect parts both mechanically and visually using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers calipers height gages gage pins and thread gages to ensure compliance with blueprint work order engineering and customer specifications. Additional responsibilities include maintaining accurate timekeeping through the company shop floor system deburring parts as time allows or as directed to maximize efficiency during cycle times and maintaining a clean workstation through daily sweeping decluttering and returning materials and tools to their designated areas.
Job Requirements: A high school diploma is required along with at least two years of CNC machining experience or applicable training and education. Candidates must be able to work cooperatively in a team environment and demonstrate strong attention to detail a solid work ethic and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting while meeting deadlines. Mechanical aptitude is essential along with the ability to read and interpret role requires the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time and to work in environments with noise levels ranging from quiet to loud. Employees are required to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on the manufacturing floor including but not limited to eye and ear protection. The position may also occasionally require lifting and/or moving items weighing between 10 and 50 pounds.
