JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

The College of Health and Human Development/Unit of Recreation Park and Tourism Management is seeking applicants for part-time teaching assistant. Teaching Assistants (TAs) are motivated undergraduate students who assist instructors and students in the teaching-learning enterprise. TAs are assigned to a particular course and they work closely with instructors to provide challenging and meaningful learning experiences for enrolled students.

Job duties to include:

  • Assist with RPTM 390 teaching needs

  • Communicate effectively with supervising instructor any additional teaching staff and enrolled students

  • Prepare for specific teaching- and learning-related assignments

  • Help with in-class activities group projects specialized software or virtual labs

Requirements qualifications and/or competencies:

  • Familiarity with RPTM 390

Schedule:

  • Variable - Talk with teacher in charge of course to determine work hours/needs

Compensation:

The starting rate for this job is $15/hr
