Job Summary

The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for talented Lawyers (2 PQE) or Senior Associates (5 PQE) to join our market-leading Corporate M&A and Capital Markets team in Melbourne. You will work closely with our highly regarded Corporate Partner Mark Malinas Head of Private Equity and a team of experienced lawyers who are passionate about delivering exceptional outcomes for clients and fostering the professional growth of their team. Mark has a market leading reputation of developing talent.

This opportunity offers exposure to a broad range of corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions private equity buyouts and exits corporate governance board advisory matters and securities law. Working alongside a Partner and team with deep expertise in both domestic and cross-border transactions you will play a key role in structuring drafting and negotiating transactions.

This is a hands-on role that will provide you with the opportunity to work on high-profile clients and complex market-leading deals that shape industries.

Skills & Experience

To succeed in this role you will demonstrate:

Proven expertisein Corporate M&A ideally gained within a top-tier firm environment. Exposure to private equity transactions will be looked upon favourably.
Astrong academic record.
The ability tomanage multiple competing prioritieseffectively across a range of complex matters.
Aclient-focused approach coupled with a strong work ethic and commitment to delivering exceptional outcomes.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills enabling you to build and maintain strong client relationships and foster a collaborative team environment.
For Senior Associates:
- a proven ability to lead matters negotiations and teams;
- a willingness to help build client relationships through networking and business development; and
- a genuine passion formentoring and developing junior lawyers including providing constructive and timely feedback to support their growth.
