About the Opportunity
The role
Northeastern University London wishes to appoint an Assistant Professor (Teaching & Scholarship) in Project Management and Information Systems. The appointee will help develop our UK undergraduate and postgraduate degree apprenticeship programmes including but not limited to the area of Project Management and provide general service to the University within and across the first instance the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the development and delivery of the universitys online BSc Project Management with Digital Technologies an established programme where they would be expected to teach Organisational Communication Project Governance and Project Change Control among other topics.
We wish to appoint a specialist in Project Management and Information Systems. Preference may be given to candidates with experience of English apprenticeships and active interests in the relationship of digital transformation and change management.
Core duties will include the development and teaching of cutting-edge courses in Project Management both online and on campus assessment and moderation student support peer review etc. Indicative subject areas may include (but are not limited to) Communication Digital Leadership & Management and Project Planning & Delivery.

The Centre for Apprenticeships is the home of the Universitys award-winning apprenticeships and work-related learning programmes and promotes excellence in work-based learning online teaching and partner-engaged instructional design. Apprenticeships represent a gold-standard of experiential education. They combine academically rigorous HE programmes with the real-world tasks and challenges that learners encounter daily in the workplace. Person Specification Criteria
Qualifications
PhD completed or near completion or equivalent professional experience in a relevant area
FHEA status or equivalent achieved or expected
APM PMQ Qualification (desirable)
General Criteria
Demonstrates through evidence the ability to teach project management to a high standard.
Demonstrates through evidence the ability to teach communication to a high standard.
Ability to develop excellent educational provision in project management.
Willingness and capacity to undertake continuous professional development in relation to institutionally strategic themes including but not limited to technology data sustainability and ethics.
Flexibility and capacity to teach across a wide range of courses.
Teaching competency in Project Management to at least Level 6
Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills both face-to-face and online.
Demonstrates through evidence excellent ability to deliver courses on degree apprenticeship programmes.
