What Youll Do:
- Inspect and identify areas that require waterproofing
- Prepare surfaces for waterproofing by cleaning sanding and smoothing
- Apply waterproofing materials using various techniques such as spraying rolling or brushing
- Ensure that all waterproofing work is completed according to industry standards and regulations
- Monitor and maintain the condition of the waterproofing system over time
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure effective waterproofing in all areas of a building
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- Hand-eye co-ordination
- Physically demanding; Bending crouching kneeling handling heavy loads Large workload
- Repetitive tasks overtime required work under pressure fast-paced environment.
Area of specialization:
- Conventional and inverted built-up system
- Modified roofing system
- Rigid pre-formed roofing system
- Single ply sheet membrane roofing system
Job Requirements:
Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience in waterproofing systems; installing repairing and replacing various waterproofing systems including sheet membranes liquid membranes and sealants.
