Echocardiography Technologist (Per Diem)

About the Role

The primary purpose of the Echocardiography Technologist position is to provide high-level confidential direct patient care by performing non-invasive echocardiography studies on in-patients and out-patients (older adolescent to end life) maintain equipment arrange services and assure appropriate documentation and continuous quality improvement based on age and development status. Measurement criteria is as observed by the Chief Echo Technologist unless otherwise indicated.

What Youll Do

• Performs non-invasive 2D-Echo AcuNav and Tranesophageal echocardiography testing on in-patients and out-patients (older
  adolescent to end of life) based on age of status
• Coordinates the testing of patients based on age and developmental status to maintain optimal productivity
• Complies with established Quality Assurance activities within the Echo Lab.
• Performs Pharmacological stress testing and exercise stress testing.

What Youll Bring

• Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound School or Echocardiography Technology program.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a hospital setting required.
• One (1) year of experience in cardiac ultrasound ECG stress echo and T.E.E. is required.
• Must be registered in adult echocardiography.
• Required credentials:
  • Registered with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) or
  • American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)

• Current BLS certification required.

Compensation

In compliance with New Jerseys Pay Transparency Actthe hourly rate for this position is $51.00 per hour University Hospital considers multiple factors when determining compensation including (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position the candidates relevant work experience education and training key skills internal equity market data and organizational expected salary range for this position is in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
