Level III:
Estimated annual base pay:$31.25 (minimum) - $40.38 (midpoint) - $50.00 (maximum)
Level IV:
Estimated annual base pay:$93000 (minimum) - $121000 (midpoint) - $149000 (maximum)

Level III:
Key Responsibilities:
Develop Technical Designs: Creates detailed mechanical designs and drawings using CAD software ensuring adherence to project specifications and industry standards.
Manage Complex Assignments: Handles atypical or complex drafting projects with minimal supervision determining appropriate methodologies and approaches.
Collaborate Across Teams: Coordinates with engineering manufacturing and other departments to align designs with overall project objectives and team efforts.
Provide Technical Support: Acts as an informal resource for less experienced team members offering guidance and assistance on technical procedures and design challenges.
Problem Solve Designs: Identifies and resolves design issues in unique or infrequent situations utilizing existing precedents and procedures to develop effective solutions.
Key Skills:
Mechanical Design: Proficient in developing comprehensive mechanical designs and blueprints using advanced CAD software.
Computer Aided Design (CAD): Expertise in utilizing CAD tools such as AutoCAD SolidWorks or similar platforms for drafting and modeling.
Technical Documentation: Skilled in creating precise technical drawings specifications and documentation to support manufacturing and assembly processes.
Problem Solving: Ability to analyze complex mechanical issues and develop effective solutions based on existing procedures and precedents.
Project Coordination: Experienced in managing multiple design projects ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
Mentorship: Capable of providing guidance and support to less experienced team members fostering professional development.
Quality Assurance: Ensures high standards of accuracy and quality in all design and drafting tasks impacting team performance.
Communication: Excellent ability to convey complex technical information clearly and effectively to team members and stakeholders.

A technical associates degree
2 years in similar field
Experience in Windchill and/or Creo modeling and drafting
GD&T experience
Level IV:
Key Responsibilities:
Plans schedules and coordinates detailed phases of a project.
Must 3D model at an expert level complex housings in 5 axes.
Must be able to perform advanced level linear and radial stackup studies
Designs may be one on a more complex level - not only designing LRUs but also working on complete systems with all elements of the life cycle process in accordance with the PLC process
Ability to support customer design reviews
Key Skills:
Ability to understand and apply Geometric Dimension & Tolerancing or International equivalent at an expert level
Expert CAD skills in CAD/ PLM Softwares. May have ability to do low level FEA CFD using CAD tools
Advanced understanding of manufacturing and assembly processes and how to optimize designs based on competing inputs relating to each to achieve the best possible design for the enterprise
An understanding of fundamental engineering principles (heat transfer fluid mechanics material strength).
Demonstrated commitment to quality and professionalism. Ability to identify continuous improvement activities to improve efficiencies or work.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization and customers.
The ability to interact cooperatively and collaboratively with others as a team. The ability to reinforce positive teamwork.

Must also have the ability to make decisions in a timely manner sometimes with limited information and under tight deadlines and pressure
