Job Summary
Yard Laborer
This is an entry-level Yard Laborer position in Avella PA. In this role you will support daily yard operations and basic equipment operation to ensure a safe and organized environment. These are full-time positions withcompetitive salary and benefitsavailable.
Wage: $18.00/hr with potential for overtime
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform general labor and maintenance duties to support daily operations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard including shoveling and removing debris or excess materials.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently within its designed parameters assist with basic maintenance tasks such as oiling and greasing equipment as assigned.
- Load unload move and organize materials within the yard.
- Assist maintenance operations and other departments as needed to meet business demands.
- Identify and promptly communicate issues safety concerns or mechanical issues to supervisors.
- Be proactive to eliminate hazards and maintain clear safe work areas.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures at all times.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Working Schedule:
- Monday through Friday day shift hours
- Full time hours that may include 8 hour shifts 5days per week with occasional overtime and callouts on weekends/holidays if needed.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Strong desire to learn and take on a variety of labor tasks and equipment.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Safety-focused mindset with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated reliability in performance attendance and punctuality.
- Willingness to work overtime weekends and holidays as required.
- Ability to pass background check and drug & alcohol test required.
- Willingness to have exposure to moving mechanical parts outdoor weather conditions dust and dirt.
- Ability to stand walk sit kneel squatand handle or grasp tools equipment and materials.
- Occasionally required to lift carry push or pull up to 5075 lbs.
- Ability to acquire PPE such as safety toe boots hard hat and Hi-Vis clothing
