Dixie Tech is seeking a friendly professional and self-motivated person who is detail-oriented and interested in a career in technical education. This role is a vital highly visible position that requires exceptional professionalism strong customer service skills and a commitment to providing accurate and helpful information to students employees and the public.
This position has four primary functions: (1) provide administrative and customer service support for the Colleges front desk (2) cashiering and billing (3) assisting the College Registrar in the performance of administrative work (4) assisting in the operation of the College Testing Center and Store.
Dixie Tech is a public technical college located on a state-of-the-art campus in St. George Utah. The College has 29 Council on Occupational Education accredited programs that offer certifications in high-demand high-pay professions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer phones in a professional and courteous manner; forward and screen calls.
- Maintain a presentable safe and clean work area.
- Provide information to current and prospective students.
- Assist in processing student program applications.
- Understand and stay up-to-date with all Dixie Tech programs and application processes.
- Assist Student Services staff as requested with scheduling of meetings compiling agenda packets delivering correspondence etc.
- Direct students with class registration and information requests (grades transcripts etc.) to appropriate Student Services personnel.
- Assist in processing student certificates.
- Process payments.
- Balance accounts with problems fixed by the end of day if possible
- Batch drawer out every evening
- Manage payment plans to the Financial Aid Office
- Enter sponsorships in students accounts
- Attach fees to student and sponsor accounts
- Bill students for tuition and fees
- Address payment processing issues
- Check student/sponsor accounts monthly and resolve student and campus cash accounts to ensure all refunds have been made
- Make cash drawer adjustments for other cashiers
- Assist the Registrar with creating courses when required maintaining student records and performing other clerical duties.
- Be familiar with building schedules and assist with events as needed.
- Manage the mailroom and ensure it stays organized
- Assist with the Testing Center as needed including registering students and proctoring tests.
- Assist in the Campus Store as needed.
- Follow Dixie Tech policies and procedures
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree required
- Experience with Excel and Google Sheets required
- CRM experience preferred
- Ability to communicate with students staff and colleagues; read academic texts and materials student papers etc.; operate personal computer and audio-visual equipment; stand or sit for up to one to three hours at a time; move around campus for meetings.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit stand reach lift bend kneel stoop climb push and pull items weighing 25 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity auditory and visual skills and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google Suite applications
