Management Accountant - Grimsby
Overview
Are you a dynamic and detail-oriented finance professional looking to take the next step in your career We are seeking a talented Management Accountant to join a Finance team in Hull area. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial success of our organisation. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller/Finance Director you will be at the heart of our financial operations ensuring accuracy efficiency and insightful analysis to drive decision-making.

Responsibilities
- Preparing accurate monthly management accounts including P&L and balance sheet analysis
- Managing the month-end close process ensuring all journals accruals and prepayments are completed accurately and on time
- Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies
- Producing detailed variance analysis against budget forecast
- Providing financial insights and analysis to support operational and non-finance stakeholders
- Collaborating with the wider finance team to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial information
- Supporting internal and external audit requirements including preparing audit schedules and responding to queries
Qualifications
- Part or fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA CIMA ACA)
- Strong organisational administrative and planning skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of personnel
- Proficiency in IT and relevant financial software
- Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in the construction industry desirable but not essential
