Management Accountant - Grimsby

Overview
Are you a dynamic and detail-oriented finance professional looking to take the next step in your career We are seeking a talented Management Accountant to join a Finance team in Hull area. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial success of our organisation. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller/Finance Director you will be at the heart of our financial operations ensuring accuracy efficiency and insightful analysis to drive decision-making.

Responsibilities

Preparing accurate monthly management accounts including P&L and balance sheet analysis
Managing the month-end close process ensuring all journals accruals and prepayments are completed accurately and on time
Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies
Producing detailed variance analysis against budget forecast
Providing financial insights and analysis to support operational and non-finance stakeholders
Collaborating with the wider finance team to ensure consistency and accuracy of financial information
Supporting internal and external audit requirements including preparing audit schedules and responding to queries

Qualifications

Part or fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA CIMA ACA)
Strong organisational administrative and planning skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of personnel
Proficiency in IT and relevant financial software
Exceptional time management and multitasking abilities
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Previous experience in the construction industry desirable but not essential
