Locations: Plano TX / Richmond VA / McLean VA Hybrid 3 Days/Week Onsite

Role Overview
Seeking a Systems Engineer to support large-scale Data Center Migration and Shutdown initiatives as part of the Discover integration program. This role focuses on storage systems cloud and automation planning to build executable migration strategies and gain stakeholder alignment for data center exits.
Some travel is required for planning sessions (paid by client).
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute enterprise data center migration/shutdown projects.
- Build technical migration strategies from a systems perspective.
- Analyze infrastructure dependencies across storage compute and cloud.
- Create migration plans and present them to stakeholders for approval.
- Support automation and reporting for migration execution.
- Work closely with infrastructure and cloud teams for Discover integration.
Required Skills:
Storage & Systems
- Strong understanding of storage across ESX Windows UNIX/Linux.
- Experience with:
- UUIDs Volume Groups Shared LUNs Clustered File Systems
- NAS (NFS SMB)
- SAN (LUNs WWNs NPIV switch ports)
- Object Storage (S3 ECS preferred)
Automation & Scripting
- Shell & Python scripting.
- Automation using Ansible.
- Excel / Google Sheets for tracking and analysis.
Cloud
- AWS ECS Unix/Linux administration.
- Ability to articulate and form end-to-end migration plans.
Must Have
- Data Center Migration experience (mandatory).
- Experience building system-level migration or shutdown plans.
