Summer Activity Camp: Pickleball Camp Instructor (Miller CC)

Associated Recreation Council (ARC) in partnership with Seattle Parks and Recreation is seeking a qualified Pickleball Camp Instructor to lead pickleball camps for children ages 512 at Miller.

This camp introduces participants to the basic strokes rules and strategies of pickleball. A cross between tennis badminton and ping pong pickleball enjoys a large and growing community of players in the Pacific Northwest. Programs are designed for beginning and intermediate players.

Hourly Wage: $27.00$28.50
Status: Part-time Seasonal
Location Miller Community Center

Schedule

Monday Friday
Camp session options may include:
- 9:30 a.m. 12:30 p.m.
- 1:00 p.m. 4:30 p.m.
- 9:30 a.m. 4:00 p.m.

Summer Activity Camp: Pickleball Camp Instructor Responsibilities:

Instruct participants ages 512 in basic pickleball strokes rules and strategies
Lead safe engaging and age-appropriate camp activities
Supervise participants and maintain a positive and inclusive environment
Set up and break down equipment and activity areas
Communicate effectively with ARC staff and site supervisors
Follow ARC and Seattle Parks and Recreation policies and procedures

Summer Activity Camp: Pickleball Camp InstructorQualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older
Experience instructing or coaching pickleball or similar racket/paddle sports
Experience working with children in a recreational or camp setting
Ability to manage groups in a positive and supportive manner
