The main function of this role will be toleadactuarial functionsand collaborate with internal/external stakeholders with particular focus onevaluating new businessopportunities.TheSenior ManagerActuarialwillexecutework assignmentsusingactuarial and statisticalmethods.Therole will includethe benefit ofanactuarialstudy programdesigned tomotivateand support youthrough your exams.This role will report to theSenior Director Actuarial.
The Day to Day
- Work closely withour business development team in developing opportunity assessmentsfor new clients or expansions with existing clients.
- Refine the opportunity assessment model toleveragemore& betterindustry dataas well asmore specific operating assumptions.
- Supportthe contracting teamby evaluating thefinancial impactof key contractual terms.
- Develop client-specific assumptions for new business as a part of the broader Finance budgeting process.
- Partner with FP&A to refine operating model assumptions supporting new business evaluation.
- Represent Finance on the StrategicPricing committee.
- Manage a team of one analyst.
- Create and present materials for client presentations clearly communicating Strives impact.
- Partner with key stakeholders acrossStrivesFinance Client Success and Growth functions toidentifydata-driven opportunities to add value to existing and potential partners.
- Present models anddeliversinsights/expertiseto a diverse audience andcommunicatesanalyses and results to internal and external partners.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree inMathematicsStatisticsor related field.
- 7years experienceinActuarial servicesHealthcare Economicsor relatedfield.
- 3 years experience in Medicare Advantage.
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA).
- Internet Connectivity - Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down): Latency <60ms.
- Ability to travel and be onsite to meet business needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience applying or reviewing medical claim grouper logic.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Experience invalue-basedcare preferred.
- Experience with CMS shared savings programsstronglypreferred.
- Experience in Commercial Medicaid or Medicare analysis.
- Experience using advanced Microsoft Excel functions and SQL.
Annual Base Salary Range: $108500 - $136000
