We are seeking a high-energy technically-minded Junior SAP Developer to join our innovation team. This role is unique: you will bridge the gap between traditional ABAP development and modern Cloud Native development on the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).

Your mission is to help us build Clean Core solutionsdeveloping modern extensions that keep our digital core stable while providing cutting-edge functionality to our users.

Key Responsibilities:

Hybrid Development: Develop and maintain backend logic using both ABAP (RAP/BOPF) for the core and (CAP) for the cloud
Modern ABAP: Write clean high-performance code using ABAP Cloud and the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP) to create OData services
UI/UX Design: Build responsive enterprise-grade user interfaces using SAP Fiori and SAPUI5
Cloud Operations: Deploy and manage applications within BTP Cloud Foundry or Kyma environments
Integration: Connect cloud applications with backend SAP S/4HANA systems using the SAP Connectivity Service and Cloud Connector
Database Management: Perform data modeling using Core Data Services (CDS) and manage persistence in SAP HANA Cloud
DevOps & Tooling: Use modern tools like ABAP Development Tools (ADT) in Eclipse VS

Requirements:

Education & Experience

Degree: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related technical field
Experience: 02 years of experience (Internships in SAP environments are highly preferred)

Technical Proficiency

ABAP Skills: Basic knowledge of ABAP syntax. Familiarity with CDS Views Dictionary objects and the Eclipse (ADT) environment
Cloud Languages: Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or Java
Web Technologies: Solid understanding of HTML5 CSS3 and REST/OData protocols
Data & APIs: Knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts
Tools: Exposure to SAP Business Application Studio or VS Code

SAP & Cloud Knowledge

Platform Awareness: Basic understanding of SAP BTP services (Destinations XSUAA Connectivity)
Frameworks: A strong interest in learning SAP CAP and SAP Fiori/UI5
Clean Core Philosophy: Understanding the importance of decoupling custom code from the SAP standard core

Soft Skills

Problem Solving: Ability to debug code across different layers (from the Fiori UI down to the ABAP backend)
Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for documenting technical designs
Growth Mindset: A passion for staying updated on SAPs rapidly evolving technology roadmap
