UW Medical Center-Northwest - Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has an outstanding opportunity for a Night Shift Registered Nurse.

WORK SCHEDULE

• 36 hours per week

• 3x12 shift schedule

• Night shifts (7:00pm-7:30am)

• Must be available to work weekend shifts

ABOUT OUR ICU

• We are a general medical ICU offering cardiac neuro respiratory and post-surgical monitoring

• We offer 15 individual rooms for patients

• We consistently hold 1:2 nurse to patient ratios

• Our RNs work in close partnership with our intensivists physicians and certified nursing assistants

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

• Provide life-saving care to patients

• Join a close-knit ICU that values camaraderie and collaboration

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work alongside physicians intensivists social workers and care managers

• Follow evidence-based nursing practices

• Provide bedside for critically ill patients including those admitted for septic shock post-cardiac arrest acute respiratory failure and strokes

• Monitor and administer medications and IVs

• Provide personalized care with compassion dignity and respect

REQUIREMENTS

• 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience or equivalent nursing experience on a high acuity critical care unit

• BLS

• ACLS

• Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State
