The Hancock Agricultural Research Station is a 412-acre vegetable research farm located in the Central Sands area of Wisconsin. Field trials at the station are related to potatoes field corn sweet corn soybeans snap beans carrots cucumbers and switchgrass. The station is also home to the Wisconsin Potato & Vegetable Storage Research Facility.
The Agricultural Equipment Operator II position operates maintains and repairs irrigation systems in a variety of landscapes. This position is responsible for irrigation management and the operation and maintenance of the irrigation equipment used at the station. Operation and maintenance of field equipment and performing occasional building maintenance tasks are also part of the responsibilities of this position. Since we are seeking two Agricultural Equipment Operator II positions applicants with some experience in any of these areas are encouraged to apply.
This position will have a full year FTE of 87.5%. (3 months of winter will be at 50% FTE and the other 9 months of the year will be at 100% FTE)

The anticipated salary range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00. However final salary will depend on experience and qualifications. Experience operating all-terrain vehicles utility terrain vehicles and pickup trucks for general farm use on and off road. Experience performing computer software navigation for time entry and absence reporting Experience performing basic maintenance and repairs on tractors skid loaders pick-up trucks all-terrain vehicles and other farm equipment. Experience in proper set up calibration and making adjustments to farm equipment as required to meet research and field condition needs.
