ResponsibilitiesWhat youll do...
The primary responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Serve as the first line of defense regarding vehicle quality directly impacting customer satisfaction and brand reputation.
- Provide critical on-site engineering support to the assembly plant addressing Wiring/EDS issues related to warranty First Time Through (FTT) ergonomics Stop Ships/Stop Builds quality campaigns and various product audits.
- Support End-to-End (E2E) warranty transformation by performing daily warranty claim triage and binning within the IRIS and SIMPSN systems.
- Leverage warranty data connected vehicle data and internal plant metrics (End-of-Line and QLS) to identify emerging issues and lead cross-functional teams in root cause analysis.
- Implement robust Interim Containment Actions (ICA) and Permanent Corrective Actions (PCA) to safeguard production and the customer.
- Prepare and present structured problem-solving documentation (e.g. 8D A3 5-Why Fishbone) to drive collaborative issue resolution.
- Present technical findings and status updates in key plant forums including Functional Quality Reviews (FQR) Director Quality Reviews (DQR) and Vehicle Quality Reviews (VQR).
- Lead the Variability Reduction Team (VRT) for FH sub-systems collaborating closely with Manufacturing Product Development (PD) and Site Technical Assistance (STA).
- Facilitate complex vehicle diagnostics and resolve electrical issues identified during in-plant testing or final inspections.
- Manage assigned minor product launches in strict alignment with functional and plant leadership objectives.
- Initiate and manage Worldwide Engineering Release System (WERS) Concerns (CR) and Alerts for design changes while supporting plant trials and Plant Change implementation meetings.
- Maintain transparent communication channels with supervisors and peers regarding daily activities demonstrating resilience in balancing shifting priorities and new demands.
- Collaborate with VRT counterparts at sister plants to ensure common issue identification and containment across the enterprise.
- Lead plant trials focused on quality enhancements cost-reduction initiatives and supplier-driven improvements.
- Drive design commonality and the adoption of best practices across multiple programs and assembly plants.
- Participate in vehicle pre-builds and provide hands-on support for new model launches and system implementations ensuring all open issues are contained to support production ramp-up schedules.

Education
- Bachelors Degree of Science in Engineering Mechanical Electrical or related discipline. (Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of diploma/degree completion for the highest level of education attained. If the degree was obtained from a school outside of Canada an Education Credential Assessment report showing Canadian equivalency is also required)
Experience
- 5 years of experience in Product Development/Quality/Program/Manufacturing Engineering in a fast-paced automotive environment.
- Availability to travel within North American region.

- Six-Sigma Training (Black Belt or Green Belt Certification) demonstrating advanced problem-solving skills and process improvement capabilities.

The expected annual salary range for this position is $85 000- $ 135 000 and individuals may be eligible to participate in our Annual Compensation bonus program.
