- Job Description SummaryRole Mission: The Principal Engineer Aerospace & Defense is responsible for proposing designing launching and delivering profitable aerospace projects. This role partners closely with the Business Development team and customers to support presales proposal development engineer scalable solutions and deliver qualified products that drive growth in aerospace defense and space exploration markets.

Responsibilities
Engineer custom filtration and flowcontrol products from concept through qualification and delivery
Serve as a subject matter expert supporting presales activities including cost estimating and requirements review
Act as a customer advocate to improve proposal speed accuracy cost and technical depth
Lead product and process improvements to support successful transition from development to production
Expected Performance Outcomes
Deliver new platforms with 95% ontime delivery and within 90% of cost estimates
Qualify 46 new projects annually through presales support
Launch two process or product improvement initiatives per year to reduce lead time cost or expand capability
Required Experience & Education
Bachelors degree in mechanical Chemical Industrial or Materials Engineering
Project Management education or certification; Masters degree preferred
Minimum 5 years leading complex Aerospace & Defense or Government projects
Demonstrated knowledge of Aerospace & Defense qualification processes
Technical Knowledge & Skills
Expert knowledge of filtration compaction sintering welding and manufacturable design
Proficient in GD&T 3D modeling and 2D drawing standards
Strong project management planning customerfacing and communication skills

Total Rewards
The compensation range for this position is $99800.00 - $149600.00 depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.Benefits Package
