Senior Director of Information Systems

Recognized as a leader in the water industry throughout California and nationally the Eastern Municipal Water District (EMWD) is the water wastewater and recycled water service provider to nearly one million customers living and working within a 682-square mile service area covering Western Riverside and Northern San Diego Counties. EMWD is governed by a five-member Board of Directors and conducts its business with the support of a highly trained workforce of approximately 620 employees. EMWDs FY budget is $619 million of which $163 million is for capital expenditures.

The Information Systems Department plays a critical role in supporting EMWDs mission through the delivery of secure reliable and innovative technology solutions. Set within the Administrative Services Branch the Department supports enterprise systems cybersecurity SCADA GIS network infrastructure and district-wide technology initiatives that enable efficient operations and service delivery across the organization.

Reporting to the Deputy General Manager the Senior Director of Information Systems provides executive leadership and strategic direction for the Districts Information Systems Department. The position is responsible for planning organizing and directing comprehensive information systems programs that support EMWDs operational efficiency data-driven decision-making and long-term strategic goals.

The ideal candidate will be a visionary and collaborative technology leader with extensive experience in enterprise information systems cybersecurity and large-scale IT program management. The successful candidate will build and lead high-performing teams and foster a culture of innovation accountability and continuous improvement.

Requires ten (10) years of progressively responsible information systems experience including five (5) years in a management capacity. Equivalent to a bachelors degree with major coursework in information systems computer science business administration or a related field. A masters degree is desirable.

Annual Salary: $245419.20 $305614.40
