Preconstruction Engineer

As a Preconstruction Engineer with McShane Construction youll play a crucial role in ensuring a thorough understanding of everything required to successfully bid and win multi-family commercial and education construction projects. Youll have hands-on involvement in preconstruction services and direct collaboration with industry professionals while being part of a company that values innovation collaboration and excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze bid specifications and drawings to prepare detailed project estimates for time cost materials and labor.
• Collaborate with project management and marketing teams on proposals bid analysis constructability reviews and preliminary project schedules.
• Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings to define project scope and requirements.
• Assist with purchase orders and subcontracts for awarded projects.

• Bachelors degree in construction management engineering or a related field
• An eye for detail organizational prowess and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with vendors and teammates.
• Ability to use or learn estimating software
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Full-time in-office position.

Valid U.S. Drivers License required.
