Description

In this role you will provide high-quality psychiatric care to patients addressing a variety of mental health issues. As part of our commitment to excellence in patient care you will work closely with other healthcare providers to develop comprehensive treatment plans and ensure continuity of care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide psychotherapy and medication management as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Participate in case consultations and clinical meetings
- Stay informed about the latest developments in psychiatric practice
- Provide support and guidance to patients and their families
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with a focus on Psychiatry
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Massachusetts
- Experience in psychiatric care preferably in an outpatient setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team
- Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practice
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Flexibility to adapt to changing clinical environments
Schedule: 8:30a-5p
No call requirement
Setting: 22-bed inpatient geripsych unit
Daily Volume: Up to 8 per day
Patient Population: Geriatrics
Average Length of Stay: 14-15 days
Support Staff: 3 psychiatrists
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
